We’ll kick off the night at 6pm with DJ Louie B spinning Gram Parsons records, including The Flying Burrito Brothers, The Byrds, and The International Submarine Band (all great stuff, I assure you). Dixie Danks BBQ will be available along with Gram-aritas (the margaritas that Gram loved). The documentary “Gram Parsons: Fallen Angel” screens at 7pm. Then at 9pm we have Wild Earp & Michelle Billingsley performing Gram Parsons music! This is gonna be a good night that you don’t wanna miss. So, get your Nudie suit dry-cleaned and mosey down to the Montrose Saloon on Wednesday, May 21st. Come early and stay late!

This 2006 documentary tells the story of Gram Parsons who mixed country, rock, and soul to create what he called “cosmic American music“ in the late 60s and early 70s. Despite his death at 26, Gram’s music would go on to be discovered, embraced and revered by generations of rock and country artists. The film traces Gram’s life and career from his upbringing in a wealthy Florida family to his albums with The Byrds and The Flying Burrito Brothers, through his two solo albums featuring duets with Emmylou Harris. Parsons’ friends, collaborators, and admirers tell his story, including Harris, Keith Richards, Dwight Yoakam, and Peter Buck.
