7:00pm – Andy Bopp is a Baltimore-born power-pop singer-songwriter, guitarist, producer, and longtime cult favorite in the melodic rock world. Best known for fronting Love Nut and Myracle Brah, Bopp has released a deep catalog of solo records and band projects built around ringing guitars, sharp hooks, and classic pop-rock songwriting. His music lands in the sweet spot between The Beatles, Badfinger, Cheap Trick, Guided By Voices, and ’90s alternative power pop — catchy, guitar-driven, and full of heart. Active in the Chicago scene for more than a decade, they’ve played the International Pop Overthrow Festival multiple times along with local rooms including Montrose Saloon, The Hideout, and Martyrs’. Originally connected to Sheffield, England and now based in Chicago, the band’s sound lands somewhere between The Monkees, Traveling Wilburys, Robyn Hitchcock, Nick Lowe, Teenage Fanclub, early Bangles, and classic UK pub rock.
